SKETTY FOODBANK

There will always be reasons for why people end up in crisis, in poverty. While people are hungry, they can’t address their current issues. We exist to help people in crisis step out of the situations they find themselves in, to give people a hand up rather than a handout.

 

We do this by helping people fight hunger in order to feed their hopes, to break free from poverty. We work closely with support agencies who provide additional help to people in crisis, be it mental health support, guidance on benefit schemes available or debt advice.

 

And you can help us too! By donating food, cash or volunteering your time, every little bit helps us to help the local people/families in crisis in Swansea. It is only through your generosity that we are able to provide this emergency food support.

 

We are a small independent foodbank and a registered charity. ALL donations (in cash or in kind) go directly to support the work of Sketty Foodbank.  We have no management costs nor operational salaried expenses.  All our volunteers give their time for free.

 

Since we took over from HOP Foodbank in November 2021, we have helped nearly 15,000 people in Swansea with emergency food supplies.
